Saturday 9 AM Sitting – In person at West Park
A chance to sit, socially and safely distanced outdoors, with others.
Please come for a half hour meditation followed by small group sharing.
WHEN: Saturday, August 22, 9:00 - 10:00 am.
WHERE: West Park by the bandshell; park on Seventh Street side of West Park.
BRING: Whatever you need to sit outside comfortably. Chair or cushion, hat, appropriate clothing for the weather.
WEATHER: Cancelled in case of rain.

In this circle we will begin each session by sitting for 30 minutes. Following the sitting, we will begin a close reading together of a chapter in Coming to Our Senses; Healing Ourselves and the World Through Mindfulness, by Jon Kabat-Zinn. Discussion will follow and we will close the morning with a short sitting.
It is not necessary to own this book, as a copy will be shared during our meeting. If you wish to own a copy, you may want to read the introduction before we meet.
