A deeper look at the importance of Right View and suffering.
Right view is part of the eight fold path. Deeply interconnected with the other seven facets, understanding it deeply can release us from the attachment we have in the mind to our thoughts, judgements, and opinions. Inner release and freedom results.
We will look at the ways we believe our thoughts and how it causes stress and non-acceptance of what is. Epictetus once said ”We are disturbed not by what happens to us, but by our thoughts about what happens.”
We suffer when our minds argue with reality. The retreat will include individual inquiry into how this is true for each of us and finding release, within a traditional silent retreat setting.
