Description
A retreat is a time to both “take a break” from your normal daily activities and also be able to take a closer look at your life and practice. Please join us for the Spring retreat at beautiful lakeside DeSales Retreat Center in Brooklyn, MI.
The theme of this retreat is embodiment of practice. The body is the boundary between what we already know and what is yet unconscious to us. We tend to center meditate in the mind, missing the truth that insight cannot be detached from the body. We will explore movement into stillness, yoga, mindfulness walking, and working within our core spaces to connect to the felt sense of life and its wholeness.
The retreat will be led by Susan Weir and Julie Woodward. Susan is a resident teacher at Insight Meditation Ann Arbor, who has been teaching Vipassana meditation and retreats for over 20 years. Julie is a meditation and mindfulness teacher, leads mindfulness hikes, and is a long time yoga teacher, formerly with Inward Bound yoga.
