Introduction to Insight Meditation Practice

Insight Meditation, or Vipassana Meditation, is the practice of training the mind to be present in every moment of body/mind experience.  It is a practice which comes from the Buddhist tradition but requires no belief or previous experience.  This class is appropriate for beginners and for those who have an established practice.  It will be taught in English but there will be supplementary materials available in Spanish.

COST: Insight Meditation Ann Arbor has some fixed administrative costs. If you are able to pay $10 toward helping to meet these costs, it is appreciated.

In the Buddhist tradition there is a practice called Dana – a heart practice of generosity. The teachings are offered freely as an act of generosity. In return, an opportunity to practice generosity is opened to those who receive the teachings.
