Spring 2025 Residential retreat : April 25-27, 2025

A Weekend of Restoration: finding wholeness in body and mind

A retreat is a time to both “take a break” from your normal daily activities and also be able to take a closer look at your life and practice. Please join us for the Spring retreat at beautiful lakeside DeSales Retreat Center in Brooklyn, MI.

Life is demanding, and often we feel as though we are rubber bands stretched out to capacity.

In the Dharma, we speak of the three refuges: of our inner awakened nature, of teachings we can trust, and  spiritual community we feel safe within.

This weekend is intended as a time to relax into these refuges, allowing our rubber bands to come back to their natural, unstressed essence, finding connection and completeness in our minds, hearts, and bodies.

This retreat will be a little different, less structured, with more time for you to do what feels most nourishing to you. Restorative yoga practice as well as deepening meditation practice will be included.

Because of the less structured nature, this weekend is not recommended as a retreat for a beginning meditator.

The retreat will be led by Susan Weir. Susan is a resident teacher at Insight Meditation Ann Arbor, who has been teaching Vipassana meditation and retreats for over 20 years.
