Men’s Support Group

Men’s Support Group

A  kalyana mitta (spiritual friends) group for guys. This group  explores what engaged practice looks like – how do we apply the teachings and wisdom of Insight Meditation to the joys, challenges, and practicalities of daily life? This group is intended for men with a regular (daily or near daily) meditation practice who would like support, company, and encouragement on the path. We learn from, are inspired by, and grow with each other.

This group is peer-led, and the members determine both its structure and content. We meet in person, in our homes or public spaces.

Please fill out the form below if interested.

  • Time & Dates: First Thursday of the month, 7:00-8:30

Aging Support Group

Aging Support Group

Would you be interested in meeting once a month with fellow Sangha members about mindful aging?

Intended to foster friendship and share experiences and insights among people who practice Insight Meditation while grappling with the transitions of aging. The group is not intended to study Dharma or to serve as a book club. We share practical experiences and insights as we strive to apply Vipassana principles to the challenges we face in later life. It is a peer led group with a focus on shared wisdom, practical experience and friendship.

  • Time & Dates: 2:00 – 4:00 pm, 3rd Thursday  of each month
  • Organizer: Kathryn Houser
  • Meeting place: Pittsfield Library branch
