Residential retreat: Oct. 26-29, 2023

Weber CenterBeyond Mindfulness

A retreat is a time to both take a break from your normal daily activities and also be able to take a closer look at your life and practice.

Mindfulness is a very popular practice of bringing one’s awareness to the present moment with many benefits.  It can lower blood pressure,

rooms at the Weber Centerincrease patience and lower stress.  It retains the stamp of a practice of a “doer” doing something.  This retreat will look at what unfolds beyond this.  There is a place of resting as awakened awareness which is beyond a someone doing something.  We will explore this possibility with the help of silent meditations, guided meditations, dhamma talks and yoga designed to support these meditations. This is intended for continuing meditators, not suitable for those needing beginning instruction.

Accommodations: Comfortable semi-private or private rooms, all with private baths and individually controlled heat and air conditioning.

The Weber Center also has beautiful grounds, with over than 100 acres of wooded land, ideal for walking and reflection. Outdoor labyrinth and circle meditation garden.
