Announcing Ann Arbor Mindful Families!
This new group is a place for caregivers and their children to gather, meditate, develop mindfulness skills, and build supportive community.
Gatherings will take place once/month on Sundays, 4-5pm.
Gatherings are free. Donations to support the cost of the room are welcome and will be accepted at each gathering.
Led by Grace Helms Kotre (Certified Mindfulness Instructor) and Jeanne Hagadone (Yoga instructor)
DATES: Sunday, July 16, August 27, and Sept. 24 (Potluck following September meeting)
TIME: 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Please RSVP for this gathering. It's important we know who will be there so we can prepare appropriate childcare.
A Day of Meditation
Come for a day of deepening meditation practice. There will be a brief introduction to lead us into silence. The structure of the day will be 40 minute sitting meditation periods followed by 20 minute walking meditation periods. Plan to come promptly at 9:00 and spend the day in support of the extended silence.
Some meditation experience is required, as there will not be instructions given. Bring your lunch. There will be a break for lunch to be eaten mindfully in silence.
There will be a closing meeting at 3:30 for those who wish to share experience. Those who prefer to leave in silence are welcome to do that.
Please wear comfortable clothing, and do not use frangrance or cologne, as some people are sensitive to them.
Please come in either through the Miller street door and down the stairs, or up through the sanctuary and down the Miller stairs, as another group will be meeting in the social hall downstairs.
